Julie Boéri is a freelance translator and interpreter and a sworn translator registered at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She works with French, English, Spanish and Catalan and also coordinates multilingual events and solutions withn and beyond these languages.
She holds a BA, MSc (from the University of Granada, Spain) in (sworn) translation and interpreting and a PhD in Translation and Intercultural Studies from the University of Manchester (UK). She has been teaching interpreting at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona) and is currently a research fellow in Communication Studies at I3M at the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis (France).
Her academic work focuses on the role of narratives and ICTs in mediating and mediatizing communication flows across languages, cultures and medias. She has published extensively on the sociopolitics of translation and interpreting.
She is the Chair of IATIS International Conference Committee and the Co-founder of L-IN-K.
